Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to move out of my house?
Ideally yes, unless you are able to stay off the floor we are working on. It is a noisy process and we recommend letting us do our thing while you relax.
How Long is the process?
Depending on your floor size and timber condition it varies. If you let us know the square meter size and some pictures, we can give you an estimate on timeframe.
When can i walk on the floor again?
Usually 12-24 hours after the last coat of polish is applied. We utilise the best water-based coating system so you can get back into your home as soon as possible.
Does it make a lot of dust
We use quality vacuums which are attached to all our machines that captures 98% of dust. There is airborne dust, naked to the eye, that comes with the sanding process, however we aim to keep your home as clean as before we arrived.
Do I need to remove the furniture
Yes we ask if all furniture can be removed so we can be as efficient as possible whilst working on your project.
Do you recommend painting before starting the floors
Yes ideally painting before we sand ensures no paint would be spilled on your finished floors. Sometimes small touch ups may be required to skirting boards if paint is freshly applied.
What Gloss level do you use?
You get to choose if you would like an extra matte, satin or a high gloss finish. High gloss will generally show up scratches and dirt down the track more than extra matte / satin. But the choice is yours!
Location
We’re based locally on the Sunshine Coast, but are able to travel if required, ready to bring new life to your hardwood floor, deck or stairs.
